Leapfrog Score Booster: Send Informed Consent to patient as read-only in advance of meeting with doctor
Leapfrog added ratings on Informed Consent within that couple of years. While there is not a direct category requiring/recommending electronic consents, I do believe we can improve grades for our clients. • By making the consent a digital one, we could deliver it to the patient IN ADVANCE of meeting with the doctor, providing more time for them to think of questions. Have a way to turn the dynamic consent form the patient will sign into a read only copy to avoid have to create a second version of the form that gets sent in advance.

I actually had this document provided to me prior to cataract surgery. When my appointment was scheduled, I got a "pre-reg" packet that included a non fillable consent-- actually two of them because the doctor offered two different types of surgeries. By the time I got to appointment I had researched both options and had several questions for the doctor. Seems like we ought to be able to build this into Remote Forms tied to Patient Intake vs tied to eConsents?

When the patient has a procedure scheduled, they could receive a read-only copy of the consent via a link in a text message, like remote forms, so they have the opportunity to review it in advance of meeting with their provider and come prepared with more questions.
